BlackBerry Messenger, also known as BBM, is a proprietary Internet-based instant messenger and videotelephony application included on BlackBerry devices that allows messaging and voice calls between BlackBerry, iOS, Windows Phone and Android users. Messages sent via BlackBerry Messenger are sent over the Internet and use the BlackBerry PIN system. Many service providers allow sign-in to BlackBerry Messenger using a dedicated BlackBerry data plan.
Exchanging messages is possible to a single person or via dedicated discussion or chat groups, which allow multiple BlackBerry devices to communicate in a single session. In addition to offering text-based instant messages, BlackBerry Messenger also allows users to send pictures, voice notes (audio recordings), files (up to 16 MB), share real time location on a map, stickers and a wide selection of emoticons.
If you’ve updated to the latest version of BBM, you’ll notice a new feature recently included which I think it awesome but depict Facebook. See Image
This new features allows users to like display pictures (DP) and status update of their friends. This change is recent, all you need to do that to enjoy this latest feature is to update your BBM
With this new Like Button for Display Pictures (DP), it will make BBM now more interactive instead of just looking at the recently changed display picture, you can just hit the like button and move on.
It works just like FB, you get to see the number of likes a particular DP has gathered and a notification will be sent to the DP owner to see his DP recent engagement.
I think BlackBerry Messenger is really getting interesting, most especially with this nice update now.
