In a WhatsApp group however, especially the ones with many members, it sometimes is difficult to keep a track of who all have read your message. If you use Whatsapp and often have long conversations in groups, you might want to know if certain messages were read by all members of the group or not. There is a simple trick by which you can find who has read your message in a WhatsApp group. This works on a per-message basis i.e. you can check the delivered and read status for each message. Read on to find out.
It’s hard to ignore a message in a one-on-one conversation though it is much easier to do so in a group chat.
How To Check Who Received & Read A Message In A Whatsapp Group
Here’s how you can check.
1. On Android, long press on your message in a group, which will open up options to delete, copy and forward. There is also an information button depicted by an ‘i’ inside a circle. Clicking on the info button opens a similar Message indo window. Similar to iOS, this window shows your message, followed by which members have read it and at what time as well. It also shows you the number of friends who have yet to read it.
2. For iOS users first.
In your WhatsApp group simply swipe right on your message to open the ‘Message Info’ window. This essentially shows your message on the top, followed by the friends to who the message was delivered as well as the ones who read it, and at what time as well. It is that simple.
3. General/Other Phones
Open a group chat in Whatsapp and tap and hold on the message you want to check the status of. Depending on what platform you use Whatsapp on, you will see either an ‘i’ button, or an ‘info’ button appear. When you tap the Info button, the screen will show you which people in the group have received the message, and which ones have read it.
Note: If the message has failed to deliver to certain members of the group, then the ‘Delivered To’ section will show all members that received the message. If you see two blue check marks next to your sent message, then the recipient has read your message. In a group chat or broadcast message, the check marks will turn blue when every participant has read your message.
